Antonov An-225 Mriya
The Antonov An-225 "Mriya" is the biggest aircraft in the world. It was built for carrying the Russian space shuttle 'Buran' and Antonov based the design on the four-engined An-124 'Ruslan'. The An-225 has a larger wing, six engines instead of four, a longer fuselage and two tails. Only one aircraft exists and it is flying heavy and outsize cargo loads which do not fit in other cargo airplanes. An already partially built second aircraft might be completed, depending on market demand.
